If you have a busy schedule and are getting fitness in other areas but would like to give karate a go, then this is the perfect class for you. remember you won't be grading as frequently as others who are training 2 or 3 times per week but you can still advance through the grades if you put extra time into it.

If you like to challenge yourself and see steady improvement then it is recommended you train at least twice per week.

If you wish to compete in tournaments or wish to advance in the grades then you need to be training at least 3 times per week.

Our Absolute Beginners Class - 10 week course run with the school term

Includes: 20 classes (twice a week), International Membership, 1st Grading & Obi (Belt).

This is payable when you first join and you will receive after your first grading. It is a Lifetime Membership (pay once only). You will be a member of the New Zealand Karate Organisation Kyokushinkaikan Inc. AND the International Karate Organisation Kyokushinkaikan - Japan (IKO1-Matsui).

When you first start karate generally you should be ready to grade by the end of a 10 week course, this all depends on how often you train and practice at home, some will be ready, some won't. It is up to Shihan Takiwa to invite you to grade, please do not ask to grade, he will let you know when you are ready.
